The main objective of the Sales Executive is to manage a team of Sales and Dispatch personnel to achieve the projected volume targets for the company. The Sales Executive also manages a group of strategic customers through the implementation of appropriate strategies in order to create strong relationships and proactively manages any flash points in collaboration with the Sales team, Managing Director and Finance team, thus ensuring that the customer requirements and expectations are met in order to achieve the designated volume targets for the customers.
Knowledge and Experience required
Degree in Marketing or Business Studies.
At least 10 years experience in a senior Sales and Marketing role

Reports directly to the Managing Director and liaises with the Quality Assurance and Operations Executives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets.
Formulate and implement strategies to grow the company's volume sales and gross profit margin.
Create and communicate sales forecasts and dispatch (distribution) goals and ensure the managing Director is informed on the progress of these goals.
Develops and maintains relationships with key personnel in the customer business structures and works closely with the company's internal departments in order to achieve the objectives relevant to each account.
Uses relationships with customers to understand their business objectives and needs and formulates appropriate strategies to ensure these are met to the customer’s satisfaction.
Follows up with customers regarding the company's performance in an effort to obtain feedback on their level of satisfaction noting areas of sales performance improvement.
Understand industry specific trends and landscapes and communicate these to the Managing Director and the company's team and adjust accordingly where necessary.
Compile weekly update reports on customer order status and generates monthly business reviews in conjunction with the sales team.
Reacts to customer complaints and leads solution development for the identified improvement areas as well as coordinating involvement of any relevant business personnel.
Oversees the key customer accounts with regards to knowledge and awareness of competing products/services, discount and pricing structures, and overall strengths and weaknesses in order to determine how best to service and motivate key accounts to stay in the business.
Ensures that the sales volume and strategic objective targets are met for the assigned key accounts while assessing, clarifying and validating the consumers’ needs on an ongoing basis, maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings that are up to the business’s standards.
Compiles market information on new opportunities and coordinates the launch of new products in order to obtain market receptiveness and penetration.
Formulates and implements brand and product awareness campaigns
Researches competitor markets, obtaining information on products and technological innovations to determine strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and recommend strategy for competitiveness
