An opportunity has arisen to join a company in the mining sector as a Financial Accountant. The incumbent should possess a strong financial accounting background, with demonstrable ability to meet reporting deadlines.
Duties &Responsibilities
1. Preparation of separate financial accounts and consolidation
2. Ensure integrity of the general ledger
3. Ensure integrity of subledgers
4. Intercompany billing and reconciliations
5. Balance sheet reconciliations
6. Facilitating external audits
7. Assist in cash flow forecasting
Qualifications
1. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting
2. Chartered Accountant
3. At least three (3) year post qualification
experience in financial reporting
4. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task are
preferred
5. Knowledge of Sage packages and excel will be advantageous
