Our client in the Accounting sector is looking to hire an Administrator to join their firm. You will be required to supervise the daily operation of secretariat staff, oversee and perform clerical and administrative support tasks, establish work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness of assigned operations.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

ADMINISTRATION:
a. Supervise the maintenance of the member’s database
b. Prepare invoices for members
c. Follow up members with outstanding subscription by phone.
d. Maintain record of CVs for job placement
e. Do the initial word document for the course and conference adverts
f. Workshops, Conference and Annual Dinner hotel bookings
g. Organize workshops, conferences or any functions for the Institute
h. Prepare minutes and notices of committees

ACCOUNTING:
1. Maintains and updates accounting records by performing duties such as recording and posting transactions in journals and the general ledger for accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll

General Responsibilities
a. Compliance with security procedures and safety & health regulations
b. Ensure that unauthorised access to firm systems is protected
c. To maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate
d. Assist in staff training
e. Carry out any other tasks as assigned from time to time by Management.

Job Requirements:

1. First degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Administration or related qualification
2. 3 years experience
3. Knowledge of bookkeeping practices
4. Working knowledge of relevant computer applications (3 years minimum experience)
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
6. Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
7. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced work environment
8. Highly organized and detail-oriented
9. Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision
10. Strong verbal and written communication skills
11. Thrives in a collaborative, team player office environment
