A Well Established Organization In The FMCG Industry Is Seeking To Engage a Procurement Officer. The Ideal Candidate Must Have A degree In Purchasing And Supply Chain Or Any Related Qualification, Excellent Computer Skills And At Least 3 years In A Similar Position

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Checking adequacy of information on purchase requests received
•Selection of potential suppliers from approved supplier’s list
•Provision of quality service and products
•Placing orders with selected suppliers
•Following up orders for delivery of purchased items or services
•Checking delivered products against orders
•Conducting annual and periodic supplier evaluation
•Communicating suppliers’ evaluation results to stakeholders
•Drawing up and maintaining approved suppliers’ list
•Acts on requisitions and forwards to Procurement Manager for authorisation
•Plans and diarises delivery dates of procured goods
• Negotiates and bids for competitive prices with suppliers
•Ensures that deliveries are conducted timeously in the right quantities and of the right quality
•Maintains good rapport and relationship with suppliers
