The organization is seeking to recruit an Accounting Officer to strengthen its finance function and support operational growth. Incumbent will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, supporting production and sales operations with timely financial insights, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and proficiency in financial systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy across all processes.
Main Duties:
- Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare accurate financial reports for management and support decision-making.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting to align financial planning with production and sales targets.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure liquidity for operational needs.
- Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent mismanagement.
- Support external audits and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with production and sales teams to provide financial insights that drive efficiency and profitability.
- Identify financial risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
- Utilize financial systems to streamline reporting, payroll, and inventory management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or ICAZ is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in accounting, preferably within manufacturing or FMCG.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and cash management.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and ERP platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
