Our client, a well-established organization in the FMCG and retail sector, is seeking to hire a Shop Supervisor to lead one of their outlets. While the internal title is Shop Supervisor, the role functions as a Branch Manager, responsible for the overall performance, profitability, and customer experience of the assigned outlet. Main Purpose of the Role
To oversee and drive the operational and commercial success of the branch, ensuring sales growth, effective stock management, and strong team leadership. The role requires a proactive manager who can balance customer acquisition strategies with operational efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales growth through proactive customer acquisition and database development, beyond walk-in traffic.
- Implement pricing strategies and manage gross profit margins to achieve financial targets.
- Oversee stock control and loss prevention measures to safeguard profitability.
- Lead and supervise staff to ensure high performance, motivation, and customer service excellence.
- Monitor outlet performance against set goals and targets.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and operational procedures.
- Develop customer relationships to strengthen loyalty and repeat business.
- Report on branch operations and recommend improvements for efficiency and profitability.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Management, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience managing a retail outlet or branch.
- FMCG sector experience is an added advantage, though strong retail management experience from other sectors will be considered.
- Proven ability to develop customer databases and drive sales growth proactively.
- Strong knowledge of pricing strategies, gross profit management, stock control, and loss prevention.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
