Helpdesk Agent (Independant Contractor - Remote)

A fast-growing and dynamic IT Helpdesk operation in Zimbabwe is seeking motivated professionals to join their high-performing support team. The organization provides 24/7 assistance to corporate clients across the country, resolving network and connectivity issues swiftly and professionally—primarily via remote support, and where needed, in close collaboration with field technicians.

The Opportunity:
An exciting six-month contract position is open for an experienced IT professional to work remotely as a Helpdesk Agent, starting October/November. This role comes with the potential for long-term engagement based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

-Provide professional first-level support to clients via remote platforms
-Log and track issues using the organization’s custom software (Telpify)
-Collaborate with field teams for escalated cases requiring on-site intervention
-Ensure clear and effective communication with clients and teammates

Requirements:
-Degree in Information Technology
-Fluent in both written and spoken English
-At least 3 years’ experience in an IT-related role
-Prior helpdesk or call centre experience is an added advantage
-Working knowledge of Ubiquiti consoles is a strong plus
-Must have a reliable electricity supply and backup power at home
-Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
-Comfortable using digital communication tools
