Our Client, A Well-Established Tobacco Organization Is Looking To Hire A Warehouse & Logistics Controller to Join their Team. The incumbent Will Be Responsible For The Storage, Movement, And Control Of Products In And Out of the Factory, Warehouse Facilities And Between Departments. Above All Ensure up-to-date Reports And Records Are Generated For Relevant Leaf, Operations, And Senior Management Reporting Lines In A Professional Manner.
Roles & Responsibilities include;
Managing The Efficient And Timely Processing Of Internal And External Warehouse Logistics, Requisitions/Receipts/Issues. This Includes Receiving, Breaking Bulk, Full Containers And Stacking Packed Tobacco In The Warehouse
Risk And Compliance Management: Ensuring The Transporter's Compliance With Company Policies And H&S Requirements. This Involves Paying Particular Attention To Detail On Transport And Safety Processes To Ensure Quality Services And Assessing Potential Risks To Put In Place Mitigation Measures
Ensuring Close Communication With And Providing Operational Support To Off-Site Contractor Warehouses
Design And Implement Infestation And Contamination Prevention Measures To Ensure a Clean Product
Liaise With Fumigation Companies To Ensure That Correct Stacks And Containers Are Fumigated On Time And Using The Correct Procedures. This Also Involves Managing Inspections And Distribution Plans
Arrange Transport And Logistics Support For Shipping, Leaf And Operations Departments
Ensure Correct Statutory Documents And Licenses Are Up To Date For All Storage Requirements
Education & Experience;
2-5 Years’ Experience In Logistics Supply Chain
Warehouse Experience Is Mandatory.
Good Knowledge Of Relevant Computer Systems & Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Etc.)
Team Spirit And Interpersonal Skills
Work On Own Initiative With Minimum Supervision
