Underground Construction Manager

Our Client Is Looking To Hire An Underground Construction Manager To Join Their Team. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Degree In Engineering And Approximately 10 Years Or More Underground Mining Industry Experience .

Duties & Responsibilities;
Provision Of Drawings, Specifications, Calculations And Other Similar Engineering Design Outputs As May Be Reasonably Required
Participation In Design And Other Similar Meetings To Develop And Discuss Design
Supervision And Management Of Contractors/Installers As Required To Achieve Desired Quality
Assist The Project Manager And Quantity Surveyor In Assessing Contractor Claims
Assist The Group Projects Manager And Cost Controller By Monitoring Project Expenditure, And Ensuring Expenditure Is Carried Out Wisely
Assist The Group Projects Manager And Cost Controller Through Assessment Of Contractor Claims
Ensure Designs Produced Adhere To Local Building Code And Mining Standards
Monitor Progress On Site To Ensure Quality Achieved Is As Per Specification/Requirements. Produce Detailed Reports And Provide Advise Where Corrective Action Is Required
Implement The Company Safety Policy, Procedures And Standards To Minimize Harm To Those Involved In The Project
Ensure Associated Designs Produced Consider Safety As Well As Functionality
Development Of Specifications And Scope Of Work To Form Part Of The Request For Tender Documentation
Provide Assistance To The Group Projects Manager, And Other Stakeholders, In The Development Of Tender Documentation. This Is Applicable To Contractors, Materials/Equipment And Consultants.
