Group Financial Controller

The ideal candidate should ensure strong accounting and reporting throughout the group, including overseeing and monitoring an effective control environment and providing strategic information and advice to the management team. The position is process driven, particularly for tasks such as preparing financial statements, budget reports, forecasts, cost analysis reports, profit or loss statements, as well as making recommendations for spending or cost cuts. The incumbent will also provide financial analysis and advice to during business transactions or acquisitions.

Role and Responsibilities
Provide accurate, timely and comprehensive financial reporting to the management team and third parties
Work with Directors to provide guidance on issues arising from this financial information and accounting treatment of judgmental areas
Influence behavior both within finance and the wider business for continuous improvement, particularly in areas such as cash receipts, billing, debt and WIP management
Oversee all accounting procedures, financial transactions and systems used by the group
Establish, implement and monitor the group's finance policies and procedures, incorporating both accounting policies and internal procedural controls
Support the finance processing operation, driving efficiency through process improvement and standardization
Prepare annual financial statements, tax returns and required regulatory returns as well as overseeing the external audit process and effectively manage the Finance team where applicable
Ensure compliance with accounting and tax-related regulations, laws and filing requirements.
Ensure annual audits are carried out effectively and efficiently ensuring all regulatory requirements are met regarding the group's financial affairs
Assist with the accurate accounting of the financial position, including forecasting, management and operational aspects of profit share and distributions.
Manage relationships and budgets of external service providers including tax, audit and banking.
Management of accounting systems and external support including month end close procedures
Ensure the integrity of financial data on the chosen IT platforms

Qualifications and experience required
Minimum-Bachelor’s degree Accounting and Finance or equivalent.
Master in Business Administration or Master in Business Leadership or equivalent
Chartered Accountant or Full Member ACCA Status is An Added Advantage
8+ years of Management accounting experience
3+ years at managerial levels
