We are seeking skilled and innovative Diesel Plant Fitters to join our dynamic team .The successful candidates will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our fleet, with a strong focus on Shacman haulage trucks and other heavy-duty diesel vehicles.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Preventive & corrective maintenance to reduce downtime
- Diagnose & repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems
- Respond to breakdowns (workshop & on-site)
- Conduct inspections for roadworthiness
- Maintain accurate job cards & service records
- Ensure workshop safety compliance
- Collaborate with Workshop Foreman & Fleet Management
Qualifications and Experience:
- National Certificate in Diesel Plant Fitting / Heavy Vehicle Mechanics
- Journeyman Class 1 qualification
- 3–5 years’ hands-on experience with heavy-duty diesel trucks
- Experience with **Shacman trucks** is a strong advantage
- Valid Class 4 Driver’s Licence (Class 2 an advantage)
