Role Overview
The Security Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and directing day-to-day guarding and control room activities to ensure effective protection of client sites and personnel. This role involves coordinating deployments, monitoring security operations, managing incidents, and maintaining communication between guards, supervisors, clients, and management. The coordinator ensures compliance with company policies, client service level agreements (SLAs), and legal requirements while promoting safety and operational efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities

Operational Coordination
• Monitor and control all security operations activities on assigned shifts.
• Coordinate deployment of security personnel to various sites.
• Ensure all security assignments are properly staffed and operational.
• Maintain constant communication with supervisors, guards, clients, and management.

Incident Management
• Receive, record, and respond to incidents, emergencies, and alarm activations.
• Dispatch response teams and provide operational support during emergencies.
• Ensure incidents are properly documented and escalated when necessary.
• Prepare incident and occurrence reports.

Communication and Control Room Operations
• Operate and monitor radios, telephones, CCTV systems, GPS tracking systems, and other communication equipment.
• Maintain accurate occurrence books, control room logs, and shift reports.
• Relay instructions from management to field personnel.

Personnel Supervision
• Monitor guard attendance, punctuality, and discipline.
• Report absenteeism, misconduct, or operational concerns to management.
• Ensure guards comply with company procedures, appearance standards, and client instructions.
• Assist with staff deployment adjustments during emergencies or shortages.

Client Service and Support
• Respond promptly to client concerns and operational complaints.
• Maintain good working relationships with clients and field personnel.
• Ensure client instructions are communicated and followed correctly.

Patrol and Fleet Monitoring
• Track patrol vehicles and response teams to ensure effective coverage.
• Monitor fuel usage, vehicle movement, and response times.
• Coordinate emergency backup support where required.

Reporting and Administration
• Compile daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
• Maintain records of incidents, deployments, equipment, and communications.
• Assist management with operational planning and investigations.

Health, Safety, and Compliance
• Ensure all operations comply with company policies and legal requirements.
• Promote safety procedures and emergency preparedness.
• Report unsafe conditions or operational risks immediately.

Required Skills and Competencies

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Security Management, Risk Management, Compliance, or related field
Minimum 5 to 7 years in guarding operations or security management
Proven experience in deployment planning, supervision, and incident handling
Strong understanding of client SLAs, site instructions, and operational compliance
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies calmly.
Good report-writing and record-keeping abilities.
Knowledge of security operations and control room procedures.
Computer literacy and familiarity with CCTV and radio systems.
Leadership and problem-solving skills.
