Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Boilermaker to join our mining operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining steel structures, piping systems, and mining equipment. This role requires expertise in welding, mechanical assembly, and strict adherence to safety standards to ensure reliable and efficient mining operations.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Fabricate, assemble, and install steel structures, chutes, conveyors, and piping systems.
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to execute fabrication tasks accurately.
- Perform welding using MIG, TIG, MMA/SMAW, and FCAW techniques.
- Conduct maintenance and repair of mining equipment including crushers, mills, and heavy-duty trailers.
- Operate workshop machinery such as guillotines, press brakes, drills, lathes, and overhead cranes.
- Inspect and diagnose faults in mechanical structures and perform corrective repairs.
- Ensure compliance with SHEQ standards, safety regulations, and permit-to-work systems.
- Maintain accurate records of fabrication, repairs, and inspections.
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other trades to meet project deadlines.
- Participate in hazard identification, risk assessments, and emergency preparedness activities.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Skilled Worker Certificate or Class One Boilermaker qualification.
- National Certificate/Diploma in Fabrication Engineering preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in mining or heavy industrial fabrication.
- Proficiency in multiple welding techniques (MIG, TIG, MMA/SMAW, FCAW).
- Experience with structural steel fabrication and mechanical assembly.
- Valid driver’s license.
