Our Client Is Seeking a Highly Experienced And Results-Oriented Mine Manager To Lead Their Gold Mining Operations. The Ideal Candidate Will Be Responsible For Overseeing All Aspects Of Mine Planning, Production, Safety, And Compliance. This Role Demands Strong Leadership, Technical Expertise, And a Deep Understanding Of Zimbabwe’s Mining Regulations And Gold Extraction Processes.
Duties And Responsibilities
Lead And Manage Day-To-Day Mining Operations To Ensure Safe, Efficient, And Cost-Effective Production.
Develop And Implement Mine Plans, Schedules, And Budgets In Alignment With Strategic Objectives.
Ensure Compliance With All Statutory And Environmental Regulations, Including EMA And Ministry Of Mines Requirements.
Oversee Drilling, Blasting, Hauling, And Processing Activities To Optimise Ore Recovery And Minimise Waste.
Manage Workforce Planning, Training, And Performance Across All Operational Departments.
Monitor And Report On Production Metrics, Equipment Utilisation, And Operational KPIS.
Coordinate With Geology, Metallurgy, And Engineering Teams To Support Exploration And Resource Development.
Enforce Health And Safety Protocols, Conduct Risk Assessments, And Lead Incident Investigations.
Maintain Strong Relationships With Regulatory Bodies, Community Stakeholders, And Suppliers.
Drive Continuous Improvement Initiatives In Mining Methods, Technology Adoption, And Operational Efficiency.
Prepare And Present Operational Reports To Executive Management And Board-Level Stakeholders.
Qualifications And Experience
Bachelor’s Degree In Mining Engineering, Geology, Or Related Field; Postgraduate Qualification Is An Added Advantage.
Minimum Of 10 Years’ Experience In Mining Operations, With At Least 5 Years In a Senior Management Role.
Valid Zimbabwean Mine Manager’s Certificate Of Competency Is Mandatory.
Strong Knowledge Of Gold Mining Processes, Open-Pit And/Or Underground Operations.
Proven Track Record In Managing Large-Scale Mining Projects And Multidisciplinary Teams.
Excellent Leadership, Decision-Making, And Communication Skills.
Proficiency In Mining Software And Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity With Zimbabwe’s Mining Legislation, Labor Laws, And Environmental Standards.
