Our Client In The Mining Sector Is Seeking a Qualified And Results-Driven Geologist To Support Their Gold Exploration And Mining Activities. The Ideal Candidate Will Be Responsible For Conducting Geological Surveys, Analysing Mineral Samples, And Guiding Drilling And Extraction Operations. This Role Requires Strong Technical Expertise, Fieldwork Experience, And a Deep Understanding Of Zimbabwe’s Geological Formations And Mining Regulations.

Duties And Responsibilities
Conduct Geological Mapping, Sampling, And Core Logging To Support Exploration And Mining Programs.
Analyse Rock, Soil, And Mineral Samples To Determine Gold Content And Deposit Characteristics.
Design And Supervise Drilling Programs, Ensuring Accurate Data Collection And Safety Compliance.
Interpret Geological Data To Identify Ore Bodies And Guide Mine Planning Decisions.
Maintain Detailed Records Of Geological Findings, Sample Locations, And Assay Results.
Collaborate With Mining Engineers, Surveyors, And Environmental Teams To Optimise Extraction Strategies.
Prepare Technical Reports, Maps, And Models For Internal And Regulatory Use.
Monitor Geo-technical Conditions And Advise On Slope Stability, Ground Control, And Safety Risks.
Ensure Compliance With Mining Laws, Environmental Standards, And Company Policies.
Use GIS, 3D Modeling, And Other Software Tools To Visualise And Communicate Geological Data.
Support Feasibility Studies, Resource Estimation, And Reserve Classification.

Qualifications And Experience
Bachelor’s Degree In Geology, Earth Sciences, Or Related Field; Postgraduate Qualification Is An Added Advantage.
Minimum Of 3–5 Years’ Experience In Gold Exploration Or Mining Geology.
Strong Knowledge Of Zimbabwe’s Geological Formations And Mineral Resource Classification Systems.
Proficiency In Geological Software.
Experience With Core Logging, Sampling Protocols, And Assay Interpretation.
Excellent Analytical, Reporting, And Communication Skills.
Ability To Work In Remote Field Conditions And Adapt To Rugged Environments.
Membership With a Recognised Professional Body (e.g., Geological Society Of Zimbabwe) Is Preferred.
