Financial Controller

Our Client In The FMCG Sector Is Looking To Hire A Well Experienced And Qualified Financial Controller. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Appreciation Of Costings, Cost Savings Programs, Cashflow Management And Be Able To Work In A Fast Paced Environment. Incumbent Must Have Experience Of At Least Five Years In A Similar Organization. Applicants Must Hold a First Degree In Accounting Or Finance And a Professional Qualification From ICAZ, CIMA Or ACCA.

Duties And Responsibilities:
Preparing Monthly Management Accounts.
Review Accounting Records, Financial Statements, And Other Financial Reports To Assess Accuracy, Completeness, And Conformance To Reporting And Procedural Standards.
Compare The Actual Performance To The Budget And Provide Comments To The Monthly Management Accounts.
Updating The Monthly Accounts Into The Group’s Reporting System- Horizon.
Compiling The Monthly Management Report For General Manager.
Co-Ordinate And Assist With The Preparation Of The Annual Budgets.
Computing Taxes Owed And Preparing Tax Returns, Ensuring Compliance With Payment, Reporting And Other Tax Requirements.
Identifying Tables Of Accounts And Assign Entries To Proper Accounts.
Carry Out Monthly Payroll Reconciliation And Prepare The Necessary Paperwork For Payment Of Payroll Creditors.
Post Month End Closing Journals.
Maintaining The Fixed Asset Register.
Overseeing Month End Stock Takes.
Preparing Annual Financial Statements For The Company.
Attend To Internal And External Auditors.
Ensures Effective Debtors And Creditors Management For The Company.
Carries Out Any Other Duties As May Be Assigned By Superior.
