Our Client Is Looking To Hire A Country Manager To Join Their Team. The Country Manager Will Lead And Manage All Operations Within The Designated Country, Ensuring Alignment With The Organization's Overall Strategic Goals, Driving Country Strategy, Driving Profitable Growth, And Enhancing Market Presence. The Country Manager Will Manage And Oversee All Day-To-Day Business Operations, People, And Strategy Of Locomotion Africa. They Will Provide Strategic Representation In Zimbabwe And Develop Partnerships. The Country Manager Will Work With The CEO Of The Holding Company And Board Of Directors Of The Zimbabwean Subsidiary Locomotion Africa And Report To The Board Of Directors In Mauritius.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop And Implement Country-Specific Strategies Aligned With Corporate Objectives.
Identify New Market Opportunities And Drive Business Growth.
Lead The Company's Country Operations, Including Supply Chain, Logistics, Revenue And Cost Management, Tricycle Assembly And Deployment, Swap Station Operations, R&D, Maintenance And Customer Service.
Ensure That Operations Are Aligned To The Company’s Strategy In Developing The Country Specific Strategy. Work With Operations Manager Along With Site Coordinators To Implement Policies That Improve Operational Efficiencies And Effectiveness.
Facilitate Cross-Department Collaboration And Strengthen Internal Communications With The Staff Through The Organization.
Filter Ideas And Translate Them Into Functional Plans For The Company In Coordination With The Management Team.
Provide Support To Recruitment And Management Of Human Resources For The Team, Ensuring a High-Performing And Motivated Workforce.
Lead The Country Team To Better Monitor And Improve Key Performance Metrics, Ensuring Service Quality, Speed, And Resource Efficiency Consistently Meet And Exceed Established Targets.
Recruit, Train, And Mentor Local Teams.
Foster A High-Performance Culture Through Effective Leadership.
Build And Maintain Relationships With Key Stakeholders, Including Clients, Partners, And Government Entities. Represent The Company At Industry Events And Networking Opportunities As Necessary.
Conduct Periodic Market Research To Inform Strategic Decisions.
Monitor Industry Trends And Competitor Activities And Develop Appropriate Responses.
Develop, Improve And Implement Systems That Safeguard Employee And Public Health.
Foster Positive Relationships With Communities, Ensure Ethical Labor Practices, And Promote Social Well-Being Through Responsible And Inclusive Business Practices.
Ensure Compliance With The Country’s Laws, Regulations, Statutory Instruments And Other Requirements From The Authorities.
Ensure Compliance With Agreements Signed With Investors, Suppliers, Contractors And Other And Other Business Partners.
Ensure Accurate And Timely Monthly, Quarterly, Annual And Other Periodic Financial And Operational Reporting, Including Unit Economics.
Provide Regular Updates To Senior Management On Performance, Challenges, And Opportunities.
Prepare And Present Strategic Plans And Reports.
Work Closely With The Cfo/Senior Accountant To Develop And Manage The Annual Operating Budget.
