Our Client In The Financial Services Industry Is Looking To Engage An Account Relationship Officer. Reporting Directly To The Managing Director, The Account Relationship Officer Role Is Responsible For Enhancing The Company’s Capacity To Assist SME Customers And Developing Credit Solutions That Meet Their Needs, In a Mutually Beneficial And Sustainable Manner.
Role Description & Key Result Areas:
1. Grow The Portfolio Of Customers In Terms Of The Number Of Accounts And The Risk-Weighted Loan Book Size.
2. Take Ownership Of Individual Sales And Revenue Targets, Source New Target Market Clients That Support The Attainment Of Business Objectives And Targets, And Effectively Manage Referred Clients To Deliver Financial Targets.
3. Develop a Comprehensive Account Strategy For Relationships Under Management, Build Strong Partnerships And Collaborate With Internal And External Stakeholders For Efficient Strategy Execution. 4. Ensure Quality Lending Minimizing Losses And Provisions For Bad Debts And Write-Offs.
5. Assess The Credit History, Trade References, Bank Reports, FCB Reports And Financial Statements Of Clients To Identify Credit Risk And Prepare And Present Credit Proposals/Credit Modification Memos To Management/Board Credit Committee For Approval, Recommending The Appropriate Loan/Credit Structure For The Client.
6. Adopt a “Hands-On” Approach To Client Contact And Follow-Up, And Enforce Compliance With Facility Approval Terms, Underwriting Standards And Regulatory Requirements Through Regular Monitoring And Reporting Procedures.
7. Monitoring And Controlling Excesses/Arrears, Managing The General Conduct Of The Borrowing Customers’ Accounts And Promptly Recognizing And Reporting Any Deteriorating Credits To Ensure Discipline And Quality In The Portfolio.
8. Produce And Submit Department Activity Reports As And When They Are Required, Prepare Call Reports, And Assist The Credit Manager In Writing And Submitting Credit Reports To Management/Board Committees.
9. Act By All Regulatory, Compliance And Kyc Policies (Both Internal And External) And Communicate To Clients As Appropriate.
10. Actively Monitor Trends And Developments In The Financial Services Industry For The Benefit Of The Company.
11. Maintain Orderly And Up-To-Date Client Files, Maintain Confidentiality At All Times And Protect The Reputation Of The Company At All Times.
Qualifications:
1. Degree In Finance, Banking, Accounting, Business Studies, Economics Or Equivalent.
2. The IOBZ Diploma Is An Added Advantage.
3. A Minimum Of Three Years Of Experience In Credit Analysis, Relationship Management Or a Similar Role.
4. Demonstrated Success In Credit Analysis, Relationship Management, And a Sales Background Preferably Within The Sme Segment.
5. Clean Driver’s License.
