Our client in Manufacturing is extending their operations and is interested in filling the role of a Lab Assistant with a qualification in Chemistry/Physics and 3-4 years experience in manufacturing. This position is responsible to plan and execute the testing and sampling of raw materials and packaging. Classifying results and recording findings to the relevant quality standards are some of the main functions. This role shows a constant commitment to quality.
Responsibilities
*Communicate any nonconformances for materials that do not meet specifications;
*Ensure that quality standards are always adhered to;
*Responsible for sampling and testing of all incoming materials according to the relevantprocedures;
*Ensure all equipment is calibrated, in good working order and documents are recorded correctly;
*Ensure all deliveries are accompanied with the relevant documentation;
*Complete and file test schedules as per the analysis number;
*Test packaging materials against specifications in order to release materials on time;
*Follow Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in the laboratory and in all areas of work;
*Ensure work area is always kept clean and tidy;
*Maintain cleanliness of the laboratory and production floors in order to minimise waste.
