Our client in the manufacturing sector is looking to engage a well versed individual to join their Finance Team. Ideal candidate should be able to compute and compile debtors and creditors reconciliations, cashbook handling and reconciliations as well as to handle tax returns. Incumbent must have at least three years work experience as an Assistant Cost / Management Accountant in a manufacturing environment. A First Degree In Accounting, Articles/ ACCA qualification/ Full CIMA/ Full CIS a great advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Preparation, analysis and presentation of monthly factory and manufacturing accounts.
- Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability of products and services.
- Product costing and margin protection in liaison with marketing.
- Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
- Checking monthly nominal ledger reconciliations.
- Assist in divisional strategic planning and play role of business finance partner.
- Make estimates of new and proposed product costs.
- Liaison with internal and external auditors and control systems development.
- Carrying out Capital Investment Appraisal and making recommendations.
- Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts in conjunction with line management and carrying out monthly actual vs budget variance analysis.
- Assisting in the development and improvement of Information Systems.
- Performance management, training and coaching staff in the department.
