Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Recovery Collections Officer to join our team. This role is responsible for recovering outstanding loans and debts from delinquent customers, ensuring effective repayment solutions while maintaining professionalism and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in microfinance or banking, with a proven track record in loan recovery and debt collection.
Job Description
- Contact delinquent customers to negotiate repayment plans and recover outstanding loans.
- Review loan accounts to identify opportunities for recovery.
- Develop and implement effective collection strategies to maximize recovery rates.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth execution of collection activities.
- Maintain accurate records of collection efforts and update systems accordingly.
- Consistently meet or exceed collection targets and performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years + of experience in credit control or debt collection, preferably in microfinance or banking.
- Strong knowledge of debt collection laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven track record of successful loan recovery.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
