This role suits a commercially astute leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can translate strategy into measurable results while building strong stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
-Develop and implement business development and marketing strategies across all group entities identify and pursue new business opportunities, markets, partnerships, and revenue streams
-Drive brand visibility, market penetration, and positioning for the organisation
-Lead proposal development, tender preparation, and contract negotiations
-Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategic decisions
-Manage marketing campaigns, promotions, and the organisation’s digital presence
-Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, financiers, regulators, and strategic partners
-Oversee sales performance, set targets, and monitor results against KPIs
-Prepare management reports, forecasts, and growth plans
-Collaborate with operations, finance, and project teams to support sustainable growth
Qualifications & Experience
-Degree in Marketing, Business Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Strategic Management, Economics, Public Relations, or a related field
-Membership or eligibility for membership with MAZ or IMMZ (added advantage)
-Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development and marketing, preferably within a diversified or group environment
-Strong understanding of the Zimbabwean business and regulatory landscape
-Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
-Proven ability to drive growth, manage multiple initiatives, and deliver results
