About the Role
Our client is seeking to recruit a Stores Consumables Clerk to support the effective management of consumable items within the company’s stores. The role ensures accurate receipt, storage, issuance, and record-keeping of consumables while maintaining compliance with stock control procedures and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive consumables from suppliers, verifying quality and quantities against delivery documentation.
- Accurately store consumables in designated locations, ensuring proper labeling and accessibility.
- Issue consumables to departments upon request, maintaining accurate records of all movements.
- Update inventory systems in real time to reflect receipts, issues, and adjustments.
- Conduct routine stock counts and reconciliations.
- Monitor stock levels and alert management when reordering is required.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Keep stores area clean, organized, and secure.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of a High School Certificate or equivalent; training in inventory management is an advantage.
- Prior experience in stores, warehousing, or inventory control preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Proficiency in inventory systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
