Our client, a renowned manufacturer in the precision engineering sector and manufacturer of industrial gearboxes, winches, and hoists, is seeking experienced Fitters to join their team. The ideal candidates should have a strong background in fitting and machining.
Duties & Responsibilities
Working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems (assembly, maintenance, and fault
finding).
Using micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicators, and gauges.
Drill, tap, ream, grind, align, and assemble mechanical parts to precision standards.
Mechanical repairs, shaft alignments, bearing fitting, and gearbox assembly.
Welding and fabrication (MIG/TIG/Arc).
Marking out workpieces, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
Experience & skills:
Minimum 5 years in a precision engineering or heavy industrial workshop.
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, grinders, presses, and drills.
Skilled in mechanical fitting, assembly, and maintenance of machinery, components, and
structures.
Ability to work from engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
