Our client in the FMCG sector is looking for seasoned Industrial Relations Manager. The incumbent shall play a pivotal role in fostering a harmonious work environment by managing employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and maintaining productive relationships with trade unions and regulatory bodies. In the dynamic and fast-paced FMCG sector, this role shall demand strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of labor dynamics to support operational efficiency and workforce stability.

Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement industrial relations strategies aligned with business goals.
Serve as the primary liaison between management and trade unions.
Lead collective bargaining negotiations and manage labor agreements.
Advise management on labor law compliance and emerging IR trends.
Handle grievance procedures, disciplinary actions, and dispute resolution.
Monitor workplace climate and proactively address potential conflicts.
Represent the company in labor-related legal proceedings and hearings.
Conduct training for managers on labor relations and conflict management.
Maintain accurate records of IR activities, agreements, and legal documentation.
Collaborate with HR and Legal teams to ensure consistent policy enforcement.
Support change management initiatives with effective communication strategies.

Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, or related field.
Postgraduate qualification in Industrial Relations or Labor Law is an advantage.
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in industrial relations, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing.
Proven experience in union negotiations and managing labor disputes.
Strong knowledge of labor legislation and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage sensitive situations with discretion.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
