The Sales Officer Shall Play a Critical Role In Driving The Growth And Sustainability Of The Microfinance Entity By Identifying Potential Clients, Promoting Financial Products And Services, And Maintaining Strong Relationships With Customers. This Role Requires a Proactive Approach To Fieldwork, a Strong Sales Acumen, And a Passion For Financial Empowerment At The Grassroots Level.
Duties And Responsibilities
Actively Market And Promote The Institution’s Microfinance Products To Individuals, Groups, And Small Businesses.
Conduct Client Prospecting, Onboarding, And Loan Origination In Line With Company Policy.
Assess Creditworthiness Of Potential Clients And Recommend Loan Approvals .
Meet Monthly And Quarterly Sales Targets As Set By Management.
Provide Excellent Customer Service And Post-Disbursement Follow-Up.
Maintain And Update Customer Databases With Accurate Loan Information.
Participate In Community Mobilization And Financial Literacy Initiatives.
Collaborate With Credit And Recovery Teams To Ensure Portfolio Quality.
Prepare Regular Reports On Sales Activities And Market Intelligence.
Adhere To All Regulatory, Compliance, And Internal Control Guidelines.
Qualifications And Experience
Diploma Or Degree In Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Or a Related Field.
Minimum Of 1–2 Years’ Experience In a Financial Institution, Preferably In Sales Or Credit.
Proven Track Record Of Meeting Or Exceeding Sales Targets.
Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills.
Knowledge Of Microfinance Products And Lending Practices Is An Added Advantage.
Ability To Work Independently And Travel Within Assigned Territories.
Computer Literacy, Including Proficiency In MS Office Applications.
Fluency In Local Languages Is Desirable For Community Outreach.
