An established organization in the manufacturing sector is seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to join its finance team. This is a high-responsibility role, ideal for a candidate with a strong manufacturing background and the ability to manage end-to-end accounting functions.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, stock monitoring, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate monthly management accounts
Develop budgets and monitor spending trends
Analyse cost structures and recommend profit improvement strategies
Verify supplier invoices for completeness and compliance prior to processing
Process supplier invoices within 48 hours of receipt
Ensure accurate system entry of raw materials and finished goods
Prepare and reconcile creditors' accounts
Maintain and implement accounting policies aligned with company guidelines
Submit timely and accurate statutory returns
Produce year-end financial statements
Monitor and manage stock levels and perform monthly stock takes
Efficiently manage and process company payments
Required Skills & Competencies:
Hands-on knowledge of Palladium accounting software (advantageous)
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
Professional certification (CIS/ACCA/CIMA) is essential
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment is mandatory
