Our Client In The Financial Services Sector Is Looking To Hire An Accountant. The Ideal Candidate Must Have Experience Of At Least Five Years In A Similar Organization. Applicants Must Hold a First Degree In Accounting Or Finance And a Professional Qualification From Icaz Or Acca.
Main Duties And Responsibility Include:
Preparing Monthly Management Accounts.
Reviewing Accounting Records, Financial Statements, And Other Financial Reports To Assess Accuracy, Completeness, And Conformance To Reporting And Procedural Standards.
Comparing The Actual Performance To The Budget And Provide Comments To The Monthly Management Accounts.
Updating The Monthly Accounts Into The Group’s Reporting System- Horizon.
Compiling The Monthly Management Report For General Manager.
Co-Ordinating And Assisting With The Preparation Of The Annual Budgets.
Computing Taxes Owed And Preparing Tax Returns, Ensuring Compliance With Payment, Reporting And Other Tax Requirements.
Identifying Tables Of Accounts And Assign Entries To Proper Accounts.
Carrying Out Reconciliations.
Posting Month End Closing Journals.
Maintaining The Fixed Asset Register.
Overseeing Month End Stock Takes.
Preparing Annual Financial Statements For The Company.
Attending To Internal And External Auditors.
Ensuring Effective Debtors And Creditors Management For The Company.
Carrying Out Any Other Duties As May Be Assigned By Superior.
