Our Client in the Energy sector is looking to hire an Assistant Workshop Manager. The Incumbent Shall Be Responsible For Competently Coordinating And Supervising a Team Of Artisans And Assistants In All Truck Fleet Maintenance Activities By Ensuring Consistent Service Availability.

Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinates And Supervises Chargehands, Artisans And Assistants Consistently In Carrying Out Routine, Preventative And Planned, Truck Maintenance Checks To Ensure 100% Compliance To Standard Operating Procedures.
Delegates Tasks To Chargehands And Make Consistent Follow Ups For All Reported Breakdowns Immediately As They Happen And Ensure Tasks Are Completed With 'Zero Re-Dos' And Within The Allocated Time Frame.
Ensures Timeous Completion Of Tasks As Well As Do Quality Control Checks On All Completed Tasks.
Coordinates And Performs Repairs, Rebuilds, Or Overhauls On Machine Major Assemblies.
Ensures Completion Of Work Order Documentation After Every Performed Task i.e., Job Cards.
Initiates Spares Orders As Well As Expediting Of Such Orders Through Interfacing With The Procurement Department.
Coordinates With The Maintenance Planner On All Repair And Maintenance Strategies To Increase Machine And Equipment Availability In Operations.

Experience and Qualifications
Higher National Diploma And Class 1 Journeyman In Diesel Plant Fitting / Qualified Read Seal.
Apprentice Trained Journeyman Is a Must With 10 Years’ Experience Working With Trucks Of Which 3 Years Should Have Been On Supervisory Role
Experience In Howo Sinotrucks, Hydraulics And Trailer Repairs.
Ability To Read And Interpret User Manuals Correctly.
Excellent Diagnostics And Fault Rectification Skills For The Fleet At Hand.
Highly Knowledgeable In Today's Automotive Technology To Include Computer Systems, Electrical Systems, Hydraulic Systems, Steering Systems And Drive Trains.
