Our Client In The Energy Sector Is Looking To Hire An Electrical And Instrumentation Foreman. The Incumbent’s Main Role Is To Support The Electrical And Instrumentation Department By Planning, Organizing, Coordinating, And Leading a Team Of Instrumentation And Control Technicians And Mechanics As Directed By The Electrical And Instrumentation Engineer Through Ensuring That Work Is In Accordance With Relevant Codes And Standards.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Leading/Managing a Three-Shift System In a Sugar Environment.
Responsible For Producing C&I Weekly And Monthly Downtime Reports.
Ensuring Plant Instruments Are Available For Production.
Ensuring That All Plant Instruments Are Maintained According To Design Specifications.
Calibration Of Various Process Control Instruments For Pressure, Temperature, Flow And Level Transmitters, Switches, Control Valves, And Transducer.
Instrument Installation, Glanding, Termination And Impulse Line Tubing.
A Good Understanding Of Ac Drives Especially Allen-Bradley.
Ensuring That All P&Id Drawings Are Up To Date And Make Necessary Modifications As Required.
Able To Do Plc Programming For New Projects And Plant Modifications.
Able To Do Changes On Scada Using Rockwell Software.
Ensuring That Personnel And Equipment Installations Comply With Safety And Regulatory Standards.
Prioritizing And Allocating Tasks To Technicians As Per Maintenance Schedules Or Breakdown Reports.
Planning For Annual Maintenance/Shutdown And New Projects.
Recommending Machine Upgrades Or Modifications Where Necessary.
Assisting In The Preparation Of The Maintenance Budget And Control Of Expenditure.
Liaising With Procurement To Ensure The Correct And Good Quality Components Are Bought And To Hire The Correct Service Providers.
Ensuring That Scheduled Maintenance Of Plant Equipment Is Carried Out In Time And On Budget.
Education, Skills And Experience:
A Time Served Instrumentation And Control Technician With At Least a HND In Instrumentation And Control Engineering Or a Related Field.
Have At Least 10 Years' Relevant Work Experience In An Industrial/ Manufacturing Setup Preferably In s Sugar Processing Industry
Demonstrate a High Level Of Expertise In Industrial Automation With Reference To Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (Plc) And Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (Scada).
Ability To Analyse Problems, Identify Solutions, Project Consequences Of Proposed Actions And Implement Recommendations In Support Of Goals.
Ability To Resolve Electrical And Instrumentation Challenges With Minimum Consultancy Involvement.
Excellent Organizational And Interpersonal Skills.
People And Project Management Skills.
Must Be Computer Literate With Sound Knowledge Of Microsoft Office Packages i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook.
