Workshop Manager
Our Client In The Logistics Industry Is Looking To Hire a Seasoned Workshop Manager. The Incumbent Shall Be Responsible For The Organization And Management Of The Workshop. Duties May Include Setting And Maintaining Workshop Guidelines, Scheduling And Organizing Participants, Overseeing The Execution Of The Workshop, And Conferring With Workshop Participants As Needed.
Duties And Responsibilities
Setting The Agenda, Organizing The Work Space, Distributing Materials, And Facilitating The Workshop
Maintaining Order And Enforcing The Rules Of The Workshop
Supervising Other Employees And Resolving Complex Problems Or Production Issues
Coordinating With Customers And Senior Leadership
Job Allocation And Job Flow In The Workshop Including Job Scheduling And Labour Allocation For Day To Day Operations.
Co-Ordinate Resources, Schedules And Activities To Effectively Manage Jobs.
Ensure Supplies Are Ordered For Each Job.
Assist With Quoting, Project Management, Materials Purchasing And Quality Checks.
Provide Oversight And Check Job Estimates
Regularly Report Progress On Each Job And Quickly Communicate Delays Or Concerns With
The Managing Director
Act As a Technical Adviser On Key Projects And Other Areas Of The Workshop As Requested.
Discuss With Team To Identify Appropriate Course Of Action.
Track Parts Being Used On Equipment And Parts From The Workshop Other Consumable To Users And Staff And Update Necessary Records Manage Inward Spares, Checking Quantities, Dispatching Goods
Receipting Invoices
Storage, Ordering And Maintenance Of Materials & Equipment.
Experience And Qualifications
The Ideal Candidate Must Have At Least A Bachelors’ Degree In Engineering, Operations Management Or Any Related Qualification
Experience Running A Yellow Machine Workshop Is An Added Advantage
Must Have Experience Maintaining A Fleet Of At Least 100 Units
A Minimum Of 5 Years Working Exeperince In A Similar Position Is Required
