Legal Officer/ Administrator

An exciting opportunity has been availed and our client is looking to engage a Legal Officer/Administrator to join a well-established company in the health sector. Duties will include administration, office systems implementation and management, meetings co-ordination, company secretarial duties, taking board minutes and ensuring the implementation of the action items and matters arising within the set timelines. The candidate must have a strong bias in accounting and experience with bank liaison aswell as dealing with creditors and creditors reconciliations. Candidates with strong organisational and administrative skills are invited to apply. The incumbent must have a full CIS qualification/Accounting Degree with a company secretarial experience and a legal diploma or certificate will be an added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

* Transcribing and proofreading legal documents
* Filing, organising, scanning, copying and faxing legal documents
* Scheduling court depositions hearings and client meetings
* Organising solicitor schedules e.g. travel arrangements, meetings
* Processing invoices
* Speaking with clients over the phone and in person
* Filing documents with the court ahead of deadlines
* Acting as a first point of contact: dealing with correspondence and phone calls
* Booking and arranging travel, transport and accommodation
* Organising events and conferences
* Reminding the manager/executive of important tasks and deadlines
* Typing, compiling and preparing reports, presentations and correspondence
* Managing databases and filing systems
* Implementing and maintaining procedures/administrative systems
* Liaising with staff, suppliers and clients
