Our Client a Listed Entity in the Manufacturing Industry Is On the market For a Financial Accountant. The Ideal Candidate Will Have Between 3 - 5 Years Experience In A Similar Role. This Is An Urgent Role. Candidates With CA(Z), ACCA are encouraged to apply.
Main Duties and Responsibility
- Preparing monthly management accounts.
- Review accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Compare the actual performance to budget and provide comments to the monthly management accounts.
- Updating the monthly accounts into the Group’s reporting system- Horizon.
- Compiling the monthly management report for the General Manager.
- Co-ordinate and assist with the preparation of the annual budgets.
- Computing taxes owed and prepares tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.
- Identifying tables of accounts and assigns entries to proper accounts.
- Carry out monthly payroll reconciliation and prepare the necessary paperwork for payment of payroll creditors.
- Post month end closing journals.
- Maintaining the fixed asset register.
- Overseeing month end stock takes.
- Preparing annual Financial Statements for the company.
- Attend to internal and external auditors.
- Ensures effective debtors and creditors management for the company.
- Carries out any other duties as may be assigned by superior.
Qualifications
- Recently qualified Chartered Accountant or working towards qualifying exams or full ACCA qualification supported by at least 3 years relevant experience.
- Sound knowledge of Sage Pastel is an added advantage.
